Blu Vu Deep (BV) a leader in Rebreather Diving technology for oil and gas exploration announces that Vice President and Director of Technology Jeff Bozanic and several members of his family are going to the Antarctic to conduct research on the bottom of the sea floor while producing a documentary. Dr. Bozanic is working with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles to look for new life on the ocean floor under and near the ice flows. Video photography crews will be along to film his exploits as well as helping to catalog the marine life while it is in its natural habitat. At this time, we are currently being sponsored by OMS for our dive gear, Otter Watersports for drysuits, Sartek LIghting for underwater lights and IAquatica for underwater housings.
At the same time, Dr. Bozanic is also taking his 10-year-old son, Evan, with him. This will make Evan one of the youngest Americans ever to go to Antarctica. Cameras will also be filming a documentary titled "An American Boy's Antarctic Adventure." The documentary will chronicle Evan Bozanic's trip to the Antarctic to be with his father and help with his father's scientific efforts. Along the way, Evan will still be responsible for school work, taking tests, and doing experiments for his school and other schools throughout the country that are following his adventures. Schools across the country are interested from Georgia to California. Evan is also writing a book (with his father) about his journeys to the Antarctic. The book will be for children younger than he is, and is being optioned by Scholastic.
Production teams have produced documentaries and children's programming for TLC and Animal Planet, Discovery, National Geographic, PBS, and many other networks and production companies.
Dr. Bozanic is considered one of the greatest divers of our age; he just won the DAN diver of the year award and is constantly lecturing and working with professional associations from cave divers to our National Park Service. Among many dive industry commendations, Dr. Bozanic has received the NAUI Outstanding and Continuing Service Awards; the Silver Wakulla and Abe Davis Awards for safe cave diving; and the SSI Platinum Pro 5000 Award. In 2007 Dr. Bozinac won the Rolex diver of the year award. In 2002, he joined the NAUI Hall of Honor. Dr. Bozanic holds doctorate degrees in education, an MBA and a master’s degree in environmental education.
